Celebrating an Outstanding Career
After more than 40 years in practice, including 30 years as a Principal of Gold Group Consulting, Tony Coote has decided to step back from the business as he begins his planned transition towards retirement. Throughout his career, Tony has built lasting relationships with clients, mentored generations of accountants and played an integral role in shaping Gold Group Consulting into the business it is today. His professionalism, generosity and genuine care for clients and colleagues have left a lasting legacy, and we are incredibly grateful for his contribution.
While Tony is stepping back as a Principal, this is not goodbye. He will remain with Gold Group Consulting, working alongside our senior leadership team to ensure a seamless transition for clients while continuing to share the knowledge and experience he has built throughout his career. Tony will also remain available to clients throughout this period, working closely with the team to support a smooth handover where required.
We know many of our clients have worked with Tony for many years, and we're delighted he'll continue to be part of the team throughout this next chapter.
Strengthening Our Leadership Team
As we celebrate Tony's remarkable contribution, we are equally pleased to welcome two long-standing members of our team, Daniel O'Donnell (CPA) and Chase Perkins (CA ANZ), as Principals of Gold Group Consulting, effective 1 July 2026. Daniel has been with the firm for 26-years and Chase for 10-years. Over this time, they have developed deep client relationships and a strong understanding of our people, clients, and values, playing an important role in the firm's growth and success.
Daniel and Chase further strengthen our advisory capability across business structuring, taxation, financial reporting, QBCC compliance, fringe benefits tax, AFSL and credit licence reporting, and technology-enabled accounting services.
Both Stephen Hodgkinson and Tyson Flower will continue as principals in the business and with Daniel and Chase form an expanded leadership team that combines decades of experience with complementary expertise, ensuring Gold Group Consulting continues to deliver the stability, continuity, and practical, proactive advice our clients expect
